Your CV can be your initial tool to getting the attention of a future employer as it is the first thing they will see about you and moreover a CV is the reflection of you and your skills. Read through the following steps and find out how you can prepare a good CV.
a) Choose by writing in the active voice instead of the passive voice. For example you could say “achieved the objective” rather than saying “the objective was achieved”.
b) At the beginning of the CV make sure that you provide them with all your contact information (address, email, phone etc)
c) After the section with all your contact details you should write a motivation statement which shows briefly (2-3 lines) what motivates you for the chosen job.
d) The following section should be a description of previous job experience. Separate each ex-employer with bullet points and provide in each, their names, addresses and a description of your main duties while you were working for them.
e) After your job experience section comes the section with your education and any awards, trainings or technical skills you might have and you feel are important to be mentioned.
f) Adding a couple of references in the end of people you have worked for them or people who could say good things about you it is also important (normally a previous employer and someone from your academic years are good references). Make sure you get the permission of those referees before adding their contact details on you CV.
