This article will list a few things you can do in Pafos.

Fabrica Hill: the underground caves of the rocky hill were quarried and used as storage space during the medieval period. Some of the caves connect and some have openings on their roofs (it may be a good idea to bring along a flash light if you plan to explore the caves). The hill was named because of a textile factory that existed there during the medieval times.

Odeon: the theatre is located on the southern side of the Fabrica Hill. It dates from the 4th century B.C. and can facilitate 8,000 people. Today the Odeon is used for music concerts, plays and other events. Here you will also see the Light House.

Saranta Colones:  the series of 40 granite columns  (Saranta Kolones means Forty Columns) is the ruins of what remains of the Byzantine fortification works which were built (probably towards the third part of the 7th century) to protect the city from the Saracen Pirates’ raids. Most of the stones from the site were removed and used to reconstruct the city after the 1222 A.D earthquake that levelled Pafos.

Cave of Agios Agapitikos: (Saint of love bringing) it is located on the north side of the hill. According to local tradition, a bit of soil from the cave (one needs to leave a coin after removing soil from the cave) in the drink of someone you desire makes the person of your desire return the love.
Garrison’s Camp: it is located across the street from the Fabrica Hill, on the west side. The rock-cut caves date from the 4th century B.C and are similar to those found on the site of the Sanctuary of Apollo. While some believed that the underground rooms were part of Apollo’s alter, others say that the site was used as a military camp.

City Wall:  the City Wall must have been built at the same time that the city was founded - a date that is not as yet confirmed. It begins at the Castle, extends west and around the Fabrica Hill and ends back to the Castle. The outside wall is made of monoliths and much of the interior wall is cut into the rock.
Agia Solomoni Catacomb: the Catacomb is located on the road that leads from the harbour to Pano Pafos (right side of the street). You will recognize it by the Pistachio tree at its entrance on the branches of which hang small strips of cloth; they represent worshipers’ supplications to Agia Solomoni.
