Cleaning the charcoal grill after the party is a job that most people don’t want to do. Following the 5 tips below will make the job easier and will help you keep your grill clean all the time.
- Tip No. 1
When you are done cooking, and after the charcoals have completely died out, take a hard brush made of wire and clean the grate. The next time you have a barbecue, after you light the grill, brush the grate one more time and put a thin coat of oil on the grate. This practice will help you keep your grate always clean and ready to use.

If not removed right away, cold ashes left in the bottom of the grill will stop the flow of air and will collect moisture which will rust your grill. So as soon as the ashes in the collector pan are cold, remove them.

Burned grease or juices on the inside of your grill don’t affect the performance of your grill, so don’t worry about it. Just make sure that every now and then you use a wire brush to remove any burned food remnants left on the inside of the grill.

You can keep your grill shining by washing it with warm water and soap and scrubbing it with fine steel wool. Before hosing the grill, remember to remove the grate and the ashes from the collector pan.
